Health Insurance Coverage
You may be eligible to have your lactation care covered through your health insurance. We are in-network with most Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Centivo, Meritain, Oscar, UMR, and United Healthcare plans. After you Schedule Your Appointment or Contact Us, you will receive an email link to start the insurance verification process. Please complete this form as soon as possible after scheduling to ensure adequate time to verify if your plan is in-network prior to the appointment. It can take up to 24 business hours to verify in-network status for some plans.

Self-Pay & Insurance Reimbursement
There are also self-pay options if your insurance isn't accepted. You still may be able to get the visit fees covered through your insurance, but you will need to pay the visit fee upfront at the time of service, and we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) does require insurance companies to cover the cost of lactation support services in full as a preventive service, but Thrive Theory can't guarantee that you will be reimbursed if you choose this option.
